DC United beat up on some guys from Trinidad last night in the CONCACAF Champions League. DC walloped San Juan Jabloteh 5-1 to hop into second place in Group B. Christian Gomez and Boyzzz Khumalo each scored twice for United, with Fred adding the fifth goal. If Marathon loses tonight against Toluca, United will advance to the quarterfinals next spring.

The most disappointing thing about this game was probably the attendance figure (something like 3,100+) on hand to watch this. I guess the locals just can’t get excited about the prime regional soccer tournament.
