Playboy Model Dresses Up In New US Jersey

I got to admit, I felt kind of weird getting an email from a publicist from Playboy today. Just not an everyday thing for me. Anyways with the launch of the new US Men’s national team jersey this morning the folks at Playboy did the one thing they know how to do, put a hot model in the jersey. Its some SFW photos, so enjoy. Danielle Fornarelli definitely makes it look good.

Third Kit For Seattle On The Way?

At least some are saying it is. Boy I really hope it isn’t the one GoSounders.com is showing right now. A bright yellow kit may blind us all. If they do go to a third kit I think a slick black one with green trim would be sharp (see below, kudos to GoSounders.com for the image). I wouldn’t be shocked to hear that the third kit is white with green trim.

For those wondering why they’re releasing a third kit, from what I’ve been able to gather CONCACAF requires three kits for their competitions. I couldn’t find an official word if that was true or not but it wouldn’t shock me if that was the case.

RSL and Xango Renew Sponsorship Deal

Normally this wouldn’t be a real big deal but during a tough economy this kind of breaks that point. Real Salt Lake announced today that they have agreed to extend their current jersey sponsorship with energy drink company Xango for another three years to 2013.

What’s more interesting to some may be the new look at the jersey the club will sport next season. A couple simple changes to the current one and I have to say the simple changes are pleasing to the eye.

Rapids Unveil 3rd Kit

While not a lot is going on today in Major League Soccer, except for some US Open Cup action tonight, one club did present some new kits to their fans. Colorado unveiled a new 3rd kit at a private event in conjunction with the adidas ESP Tournament at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park recently.

The new kit is white jersey, burgundy shorts, and white socks. They will wear this third kit in all international matches and competitions from here forward.

Rapids will debut their new third uniform in match action for the first time at their home international match on Wednesday, July 9, when they take on Mexico’s Tigres at 8:00 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

I must say I like the look and would honestly like to see it a bit more in league play from time to time. I would love to see more clubs get on board with a 3rd kit like the Rapids are doing for international matches and special games here and there. Maybe this is the start of that.

Don’t worry, the Rapids won’t be showing off any skin like the ladies above. Thank goodness right?
