Goals From Week 7

Slowly putting a cap on this week. I have some more thoughts on the weekend and the season as a whole later on. I wanted to put up my favorite goals from this week. As always if you have a goal that I missed that you think is worthy just let me know.

Sorry for some of the crappy announcing in the Rapids game and even in the Crew game. “Ekpo was his name-o.” Seriously…wow.

Anyways, order of goals this week: Nick LaBrocca (Colorado), Kosuke Kimura (Colorado), Marco Pappa (Chicago), Tyrone Marshall (Seattle), Emmanuel Ekpo (Columbus), Chad Barrett (Toronto), Jamie Moreno (DC).

Goals of the Week: Week 6

Plenty of goals this week, mostly due to the RSL thrashing of New England. Still there were plenty of quality strikes that were goal of the week material. I’ve put together my usual list of goals for the week.

If you think I missed a quality goal just let me know.

The order goes as follows:

Chris Pontius (DC), Steve Zakunai (Seattle), Yura Movsisyan (RSL), Clint Mathis (RSL), Andy Williams (RSL), Robbie Findley (RSL), Colin Clark (Colorado), Landon Donavan (LA), Chad Marshall (Columbus), Alejandro Moreno (Columbus), and Gonzalo Segares (Chicago).

Goals of the Week

A few good goals this weekend, and a few games with absolutely nothing. Below are the goals I felt were good this week, some were better than others. My three favorites this week were Pablo Ricchetti’s cheeky back-heel, Chris Rolfe’s blast, and Brian McBride’s lovely turn and shot goal.

Feel free to post your favorite below.

MLS Goal of the Week

You know looking at this weekends list of goals, there weren’t that many good ones. A lot of easy tap in for some guys and nothing that really stood out. For me I think the league dropped the ball on their list of nominations by not putting Seattle’s Freddie Ljungberg’s goal up for vote. Maybe they wanted a different club to get the nod for once this season or something.

Anyways the five they have are decent, the best could be Claudio Lopez’s goal against San Jose purely on the ball sent to Lopez was a masterful cross from Herculez Gomez. Though out of the bunch New England’s Saniey Nyassi’s strike on Dallas was something special.

Here are my favorite goals of the week. Feel free to say which one you thought was the best.

Claudio Lopez:

Marco Pappa:

Luciano Emilio:

Omar Gonzalez:

Freddie Ljungberg:

Sainey Nyassi:

Week 2 Goal of the Week

Its getting about that time, time to put a crapper on this past week. I’ll have Power Rankings in the morning but I wanted to get the discussion for goal of the week up before hand. Not as many goals in week two but still a couple fantastic strikes. My vote is split between Seattle’s Fredy Montero and Colorado’s Terry Cooke. Both were absolutely great. Luciano Emilio’s goal wasn’t too shabby either.

You decide:

Fredy Montero:

Nate Jaqua:

Terry Cooke:

Chris Wondolowski:

Brad Davis:

Luciano Emilio:
