Dynamo Channeling Their Inner Spain With 3rd Kit?

This could indeed be real folks. The Houston Dynamo have a third kit coming out apparently and it looks awfully similar to an old Spain jersey that is in my closet. I was kind of hoping if they did one this year it would be in a baby blue or something like that.

But according to this Twitter user, it looks better in person.

FC Dallas 3rd Kit Mockup

First of all this isn’t real, don’t get any hopes up here. But man this would be a nice idea for FC Dallas if they went this route for their 3rd kit (if they ever do one…club tells me they have no plans for one just yet).

…apparently they need your help to unveil it. They’re waiting on 200(ish) folks to “Like” them on Facebook.

Update: As the first comment below points out it seems like the 3rd kits were leaked out in the press earlier today. Wonder what the club things of that since they were doing a campaign like this online. Anyways here is the third kit:

Rapids Unveil 3rd Kit

While not a lot is going on today in Major League Soccer, except for some US Open Cup action tonight, one club did present some new kits to their fans. Colorado unveiled a new 3rd kit at a private event in conjunction with the adidas ESP Tournament at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park recently.

The new kit is white jersey, burgundy shorts, and white socks. They will wear this third kit in all international matches and competitions from here forward.

Rapids will debut their new third uniform in match action for the first time at their home international match on Wednesday, July 9, when they take on Mexico’s Tigres at 8:00 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

I must say I like the look and would honestly like to see it a bit more in league play from time to time. I would love to see more clubs get on board with a 3rd kit like the Rapids are doing for international matches and special games here and there. Maybe this is the start of that.

Don’t worry, the Rapids won’t be showing off any skin like the ladies above. Thank goodness right?
