It is indeed that time of the year again. Time for mock drafts to come your way with the 2013 MLS SuperDraft exactly a month away.
Naturally I should point out that this is the first installment of probably three editions of the Mock Draft. A lot can and will change between now and the MLS Combine next month as well. Most of this first edition is based on team needs that I see right now for each club based on what they’ve done so far this winter and where they could be headed going into preseason.
I wanted to wait until a month away for a few reasons. I mainly wanted to wait until the Generation adidas list from a couple of sources was correct and that it was as close to being finalized as possible. Those players still have to sign with the league but all signs indicate that those offered a contract will. I have also included a couple potential GA players that have not been offered contracts a spot in my mock draft. Should they not be offered a deal this winter, I’ll adjust accordingly in the next version.
