Add four more to the pile. MLS announced the signing of four more college seniors today, bringing the total number of players signed before Thursday’s SuperDraft to 12, or 17 if you’d like to count the Generation adidas signings.

MLS had to go a bit heavier on the senior signings this year due to the lighter than normal GA class. Having that many players already signed to deals is good to see though, something that typically didn’t happen in years past. Usually we only saw five or six seniors signed before the draft but 12 is definitely a good step forward. Only bummer not to see UCLA midfielder Leo Stolz on that list, MLS has tried to sign him in the past but he seems keen on going to Europe.
