Can Wil Trapp make a late push for the ROY? (Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports)

We’re entering the final month of the regular season. There is still a ton to play for in terms of the Rookie of the Year race. Below is an updated form of my ballot.

1. DeAndre Yedlin (Seattle) (no change)- Looked good at times against New York going forward. Still the leader of the pack in my eyes.

2. Dillon Powers (Colorado) (no change)- Being off this week certainly didn’t his cause but it also didn’t hurt it either.

3. Gyasi Zardes (LA) (no change)- He was dangerous on the ball early in the first half against Portland but struggled to help create any chances late.

4. Andrew Farrell (New England) (no change)- A decent outing against Houston on Saturday. I still believe he’ll be better suited as a center back down the road but he’s still doing quite well as a full back.

5. Wil Trapp (Columbus (no change) – I wanted to move him up after his outing in Dallas. The Crew were very impressive in that game and Trapp was a big reason why. He clogged up the middle of the part and didn’t allow Dallas any room to work. He’s the one guy right now that could easily make a late run for the ROY.

Here is how the rest of the rookies did in Week 31.
