It looks like San Jose will be playing another year in Buck Shaw Stadium after all. The San Jose Earthquakes announced in July that the opening of their new stadium would be pushed back to mid-2014. Now based on a couple of tweets today, the stadium won’t be set to open until early 2015.

San Jose’s 18,000-seat stadium was originally scheduled to open ahead of the 2014 MLS season, but July’s announcement pushed back the date to the second half of the season due to “unforeseen conditions at the stadium site” that included previously undiscovered industrial materials at the former factory site.
