Goals and minutes were up in Week 22 for rookies in Major League Soccer.

Colorado Rapids rookie midfielder Dillon Powers had a monster game against the LA Galaxy though, scoring a goal and adding an assist to help the Rapids move into second place in the Western Conference. Powers added to his Rookie of the Year candidacy with the outing and showed that he can be a force in the middle of the park for Colorado.

Elsewhere, Jonathan Osorio scored his forth goal of the season for Toronto as he helped guide them back over Columbus. Montreal’s Blake Smith scored a lovely goal in the final seconds of their match with Sporting KC. The game-winner helped end Montreal’s winless run.
