The holiday week in Major League Soccer brought more minutes for the rookie class of 2013. Four players played two full games this past week while three others put in big minutes in two matches as well.

Five players outside of that played 90 minutes in at least one match including Columbus Crew Homegrown Wil Trapp, who made his league debut. Trapp had been with the US U-20 national team for the last few weeks in Turkey during the World Cup. He played the full 90 against the Portland Timbers, in the Crew’s big 1-0 win on Sunday. That win helped end the Timber’s unbeaten streak of 15 games.

Elsewhere, Deshorn Brown added another goal to his season total.
