Thanks to some international windows there were only five games this past week in Major League Soccer. many rookies got plenty of playing time in the midweek US Open Cup but in league play the minutes were few and far between.

One of the league’s top rookies so far this season didn’t last long on Saturday evening in Vancouver. New England defender Andrew Farrell had to make a stop on Kenny Miller and the result was an early bath on the evening.

You can be the judge on if this is a red or not.

Soft maybe? I’m okay with it to be honest, Miller was probably going to score there in that situation. Farrell did all that he could.

Outside of that, the minutes were very little once again in league play. Thanks to a red card for Colorado Rapids veteran Atiba Harris, both rookies Dillion Powers and Deshorn Brown saw their minutes get cut in the 2-1 loss to San Jose.

Here is how the rest of the rookies did in Week 16.
