- 2013 MLS Season, 2013 Week 12, Features, MLS Fantasy Manager
Some luck, better picks and overall improvement defined Week 12 for my side WVH AC in the MLS Fantasy Manager game. I made two changes that panned out for the most part for me and one of my subs got me two extra points when a starter didn’t play over the weekend.
In all, I’ll take the 75 points as it feels like an improvement over the last month in this game.
With Philadelphia getting the double this past week, I made sure to have both of my Union players in the lineup. Neither did a whole lot in the loss to LA but the win over Chicago was enough to pull points from both Amobi Okugo and Jack McInerney.
I was disappointing to see Thierry Henry come up fairly short on the weekend against LA but his teammate Tim Cahill did get the game winner, very glad I stuck with Cahill in this game for another week. Same can be said about Will Johnson in Portland.
Defensively things were a little light on the week with Chris Schuler not playing and Jeb Brovsky off with Montreal. I brought in Tally Hall for Raul Fernandez of FC Dallas, that was a move that I thought would work better with New England coming into Houston but the four points was a tad disappointing as I’m sure all Houston fans feel the same. Still, it had to be better than what Fernandez brought in with Dallas losing 4-2 on the road in Seattle.
Speaking of the Sounders, it may be time to pick up a couple of those guys. Eddie Johnson had two goals and an assist on Saturday night while Lamar Neagle had a goal and assist. Neagle is cheap in this game so he may be worth the pick up but it all depends on if he can be as productive with Johnson out with the US National team here soon.
How did your club do this week? Any better or worse than the previous week?
