Oh boy. That was my initial reaction to seeing my score on this week’s MLS Fantasy Manager. Just a total of 48 points, one above the game average for the week and about 50 points shy of the week’s high.

It was a weird, weird week. For one the gambles I’ve made lately didn’t pay off once more. Jack McInerney didn’t produce like he had been and the guy I sold to get him, Federico Higuian had a goal and an assist. Another move that I had recently made was selling Portland’s Ryan Johnson for Toronto’s Robert Earnshaw. Another gamble that failed to do anything as Johnson had a nice day in Kansas City and Earnshaw came up lame with just two points.

My defense was also leaky, Dan Kennedy may not be the right keeper choice in this game as he gave up two goals against San Jose on Saturday. D.C.’s Brandon McDonald, a guy that had been fairly consistent point wise dropped a goose egg. Jackson from Dallas got a red card which pretty much meant he was going to give nothing.

So 48 points isn’t the worst that I could have done. But next week will bring some changes as Jackson is off, Hedges is off, and Dax McCarty is still injured.

How did your team do this week? Let’s hear it in the comments below.
