Toronto FC rookie Jonathan Osorio scored the goal of his dreams on Saturday against the LA Galaxy. The homegrown product not only netted his first goal of his career but it was his first at BMO Field. Something the young striker could only dream about just years ago.

But Osorio’s goal wasn’t the only bright spot for manager Ryan Nelsen on Saturday. The homegrown also showed flashes of what could be to come out of him in the future with Toronto. His energy on the field changed the game in the second half for the Reds and nearly helped create three points.

Osorio wasn’t the only rookie that showed well in Week 5. Colorado rookie midfielder Dillon Powers scored a rocket of a goal early on in the 2-2 draw against the Portland Timbers. Powers’ goal is a nominee for MLS goal of the week as well.
