Well, well, well. For the second straight week the gambles failed to pay off. Either that or I just plain stink at this game in 2013. Yeah, just a mere 50 points on the week. Even doubling up on Thierry Henry wouldn’t have helped out that much in the end had I made that move.

With Sporting Kansas City off for the week I had to make at least two moves on the roster. Jimmy Neilsen being out made me get Dan Kennedy. That move worked as Kennedy got a solid seven points in a losing effort against the Colorado Rapids.

The other move was to get Ryan Johnson from Portland. Well, it looks like I picked the wrong Johnson as Will Johnson scored last night against San Jose instead of Ryan. Oh well.

For the first week in a while the defensive points weren’t totally there and nearly everyone else in the midfield and up top joined as well. It was so bad that the 50 points I got was just two better than the game’s average of 48. Ouch.

Still, there is always next week right? I’ll have Matt Besler and Graham Zusi back in the line up and could be able to make some serious moves with the nearly $2M in cap space. So all is looking up if I play the cards right.

How did your squad do this week? Any better than mine?
