Some could say it was a quiet week for the 2013 MLS rookies but when you break it down a little further, you’ll see a couple standouts.

The number one overall pick Andrew Farrell helped post a shutout in Week 4 for the New England Revolution. For the third game this season, the rookie went the full 90 and helped the upstart Revs defense do pretty well.

Farrell and rookie teammate Scott Caldwell helped the Revs draw Sporting KC 0-0 on a windy afternoon in New England. Farrell committed two fouls but was great otherwise with three tackles won and six interceptions on the day. He also was good with the ball at his feet in the passing game 28 successful passes on the day. He did have some mistakes in the back but none ended up costing his club major points on the afternoon.
