Even with all of the international call-ups and injuries, my squad WVH AC, was able to post a solid weekend of 68 points. I have to say I am pretty happy with that return given the moves I had to make and the early thought that I would need to use my wildcard this year in the year to have a full squad of players for the week.

In the end, my gambles paid off. I only had to make one extra move, which ended costing me a negative point. But I’m not too upset over that one. I was able to keep two guys that I want for the long term so, I can live with that.

If you’ve been keeping up, I swapped out Sebastien Le Toux and Diego Valeri for Steve Zakuani and Patrice Bernier. Those moves allowed me to keep Matt Besler in the defense and Graham Zusi in the midfield.

The Bernier move paid off big time, especially when I placed the captain’s band on his name. Zakuani was a gamble that didn’t totally pay off but it also didn’t hurt me in the end.

Round 5 should be pretty interesting with Chicago, Columbus and D.C. United off. I can finally move Nick DeLeon here and thankfully Higuain has done well enough that I should be able to get someone good to replace him.

How did your squad do this week? Post your scores and lineups below if you’d like.
