Wow, for a young guy to have this kind of passion and emotion after a wild 1-0 win last night that helped push D.C. United forward into the Eastern Conference finals is…well wow.

Good for you Bill Hamid. New York couldn’t hold you back, though you’ll have to sit in game one against Houston down in Texas due to that red card.

Does emotion trump everything? I have been a Hamid fan since I first saw him play but sometimes emotion should be reined in. Lying down on his back in front of the ref after getting the red card and kicking the door on the way out just showed his age (or lack of it). I personally think professionals should have a little bit more professionalism. In the circumstances I feel like he didn’t have much to complain about.

After witnessing that display on the field I am unimpressed by his “passion” in the locker room.

To be fair, I feel equally unimpressed with Lenhart’s attack on Omar Gonzalez in the Quakes 3-1 loss to LA, despite my disgust with Gonzalez’s negative comments. I have never been impressed with Lenhart’s antics and I wish (most likely in vain) that he would move on.
