- Juan Toja
You want an interesting nugget going into Friday? Here is one from Kyle McCarthy:
Former FC Dallas midfielder Juan Toja has signed with #MLS and will join the league through the allocation process, per a league source.

Now since FC Dallas sold Toja a couple years ago and will go through the allocation process (see the current allocation order here). Given where teams fall in the order right now I have to think that the New England Revolution will take a long and hard look at Toja here.
For whoever gets Toja from this, I do hope to see the 2007 version of him that electrified Dallas and made them a top contender in the West and not the 2008 version that was so checked out and ready to go to Europe that he was a waste on the field.
After the Revs, a team like Chivas could definitely use him, Columbus is another options as well. The wild card could be a team like D.C. United – but it all depends on the salary cap hit that Toja will bring to a club.
Once more on this deal happens I’ll be sure to let you all know.
