Major League Soccer moves into a new week with another set of midweek games. This time we get two – one more than previously planned as the Toronto-Columbus game was moved here.

I’ll be quick and simple with my quicks today as I am pressed for time else where.

Toronto FC at Columbus Crew: It is simple for Columbus, keep winning and you’ll get a good shot at the post season. The new forwards up top for them should have their way with a defense from Toronto that is leaky. The Reds have more pressing needs these days than figuring out if they have a shot at the playoffs or not – which they don’t – the CCL is more important at this point. Columbus wins and immediately puts the pressure back on teams above them.

WVH Prediction: Columbus 2, Toronto 0

Chicago Fire at D.C. United: Definitely one of the more interesting games of the week. Chicago is doing very well for themselves as of late while D.C. is the exact opposite. Chicago is gunning for the top crown in the Eastern Conference (it is still within reach folks) while D.C. is fighting for their playoff lives already. Chicago continues their form while D.C. tries to figure out where to go next.

WVH Prediction: Chicago 2, D.C. 1
