Just as expected, the 2012 World Football Challenge has grown to add more teams. Today three European powers were added to the list as Real Madrid, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain join the LA Galaxy in the WFC.

The teams join English clubs Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC, along with MLS sides Seattle Sounders FC and Toronto FC, in the event taking place July 18 through August 11.

UEFA Champions League finalist Chelsea FC and eight-time French Cup winner Paris Saint-Germain of France’s Ligue 1 will meet on Sunday, July 22 in the first-ever soccer match at the new Yankee Stadium.

Chelsea FC will then take on  AC Milan on Saturday, July 28 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami.

Spain’s recently crowned La Liga Champion Real Madrid will visit Southern California to face MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy on Thursday, August 2 at The Home Depot Center. Yes, the HDC will host this game. Oddly enough the last two meetings have been at the Rose Bowl and the Coliseum. So a big step down in ticket sales for this one.

More than likely all three clubs will have further dates added to this tournament.
