I’m not entirely certain how busy I’ll be today at my day job so tonight’s picks are going to come quickly here. Three games in league play plus two Canadian Championship matches (I won’t be picking those however). So yet another busy night in MLS to start a new week off!

Houston Dynamo at New York Red Bulls: New York got the surprise result in LA last weekend and now head home to face the Dynamo on their last road game of the seven-game road trip. I have a feeling Houston will give a tough game but their heads will certainly be elsewhere as they are all eager to get home and open their new stadium. I’m taking the Red Bulls by a slim margin. Bigger question will be how well Rafa Marquez does in his return from suspension.

WVH Prediction: New York 1, Houston 0

Real Salt Lake at Chicago Fire: Tough road match for RSL in my eyes. Nick Rimando is banged up and will miss this one, could be something to watch out. Chicago is an up-and-coming side that I do like and want to see succeed here. This one will be close given the fact that both clubs have weekend games as well to deal with. A draw seems likely.

WVH Prediction: Chicago 1, RSL 1

Seattle Sounders at FC Dallas: Tough game for Dallas. Missing two key starters to suspension and now their captain to an injury. Consider this, if Brek Shea sits this one out they will be missing seven of their starters from First Kick. Yikes. Defensively they’ll be fine with someone filling in for Ugo Ihemelu but their offense will certainly miss Blas Perez. Seattle is hot at the moment and I don’t see them cooling off in Frisco.

WVH Prediction: Seattle 2, Dallas 0
