- Tristan Bowen
It’s likely been a wild year for Tristan Bowen. At one point he was the Major League Soccer’s first academy player to sign a professional contract and up until this season he had shown a lot of promise. He had two goals and two assists in 10 starts, but more relevantly looked consistently dangerous and appeared to be a forward of the future.
Before the start of the season the LA Galaxy traded him away to Chivas USA. It was a move that surprised a few at the time. He never really made a good impression with new head coach Robin Fraser though. Bowen has appeared in just three games all season and never made a start.
Now Chivas has loaned him out due to him not reaching his full potential here with the club.
So a second division team in Belgium get this kid instead of him finding a new home in MLS. KSV Roeselare may be okay in that division but can it really be a better place than somewhere else in MLS? Sounds crazy but maybe it will be the wake up call this kid needs.
