- 2011 Allocation Order, Features, Sammy Ochoa
I heard a peep about this yesterday but never got around to it. It turns out former U-20 national team forward Sammy Ochoa has signed a deal with Major League Soccer. He’s fate will be up to the MLS Allocation order.
The 24-year old recently played with Estudiantes Tecos in Mexico is currently out of contract.
There was some doubt as to whether or not Ochoa would be subject to allocation or not, seeing how no former youth internationals have been subject to the allocation system.
The best guess for Ochoa has to be Chivas USA, given his Mexican heritage. Should Chivas pass yet again the next place you could see him land is in Chicago. After that the next landing place would be Seattle where he spent time on trial earlier this year.
