FC Dallas 3rd Kit Mockup

First of all this isn’t real, don’t get any hopes up here. But man this would be a nice idea for FC Dallas if they went this route for their 3rd kit (if they ever do one…club tells me they have no plans for one just yet). Kudos to BigDSoccer for snagging this.

Virtual Look At Houston Dynamo Stadium

Good grief this stadium looks nice. Kudos to the Houston Dynamo for putting out their virtual box for their new stadium that is under construction. Here are a couple screen shots from the site. I have to say this place looks amazing.

Landon Donovan To Miss All-Star Game

Somewhere out there, someone is upset over this news. Quite frankly I and probably most of the die-hard LA Galaxy fans are not. Landon Donovan announced over the weekend that he will skip the MLS All-Star Game this week against Manchester United due to a nagging calf injury that has been bothering him lately. Donovan…[continue reading]

MLS Week 19: What We Learned

Starting today, we’ll have a new home for my weekly “What We Learned” piece. I’ve been asked to bring it over to SBnation.com for their soccer hub and here it is. Today I recapped some troubles in New York, Dallas’ strong week on the road, Kansas City’s chances ahead, RSL’s refocused game, and how Chivas…[continue reading]

MLS Week 19 Picks

It seems as though there are more games this weekend than there really are in MLS but with a good chunk of them being friendlies its a little tough to keep everything straight. Still the league matches that are set for this weekend should prove to be good ones in the end. I’m working on…[continue reading]

Time Is Now For Brek Shea

I just wrote about how FC Dallas should be campaigning the ever living hell out of Brek Shea and his MVP chances over at BigDSoccer a bit ago. One look at this goal and you can see why. The guy has nine goals on the year and doesn’t look at all like he is slowing…[continue reading]

Timbers Trade For Palmer and Chabala

The deals keep on coming in MLS. Today, the Portland Timbers acquired defender/midfielder Lovel Palmer, defender Mike Chabala and an international roster slot through the remainder of the 2011 season from the Houston Dynamo in exchange for midfielder Adam Moffat and allocation money. A fairly interesting move for the two sides. Portland gains an international roster spot meaning they’ll likely be adding…[continue reading]

What To Watch For: MLS Week 19

I really should have done this earlier in the week with all the games that took place last night. It was a pretty interesting night in MLS considering all the friendlies and league matches going on. MLS didn’t fare all that well in the friendlies (though Philadelphia seemed to do alright), but the league matches…[continue reading]

MLS Wednesday Quick Picks: Week 19

You can thank SUM for the large amounts of midweek games this week. All the international friendlies pushed for a big Wednesday night in MLS with five league games. Yup, five of them. For the most part a couple of them sound pretty good too and will have some playoff implication surrounding them. New England…[continue reading]

The Not-So All-Stars

Each year when the MLS All-Star Roster is announced there are always a mass amount of players that are usually more deserving of the honor than some of those that get to play in the game. For the most part I don’t care a whole lot about the All-Star game but I did want to…[continue reading]
