Props to my colleague Daniel Robertson at BigDSoccer.com for finding this out first today. Talk today at FC Dallas camp is that defender Heath Pearce has been traded. Its uncomfirmed at the moment, but it appears the club has sent Pearce to Chivas USA. Pearce was apparently saying goodbye to teammates today at training.
No word yet what FC Dallas will receive in return. Some speculation that it could be forward Justin Braun in a player swap. Other possible options could just be for extra allocation money.
I had mentioned back in the fall around MLS Cup that there was some disconnection between Pearce and the club, particularly head coach Schellas Hyndman. Pearce had some not-so-good tweets around MLS Cup time that the club was none to pleased with.
We’ll have more on this trade when the details are announced.
Update: Chivas confirms the trade, they send allocation money to Dallas for Pearce.
