- 2011 MLS SuperDraft, Akron, Generation adidas
We mentioned late last week before Christmas that the 2011 Generation adidas class was close to being finalized. It looks as though today the class has taken it’s full shape. Akron freshman Perry Kitchen and his teammate, junior Kofi Sarkodie were the final two pieces to the GA puzzle.
Those two bring the class total up to nine for the year. They will join fellow Akron standouts Darlingon Nagbe, Zarek Valentin and Michael Nanchoff, Indiana’s Will Bruin, Maryland’s Zac MacMath and Penn State’s Corey Hertzog. U.S. Under-20 striker Omar Salgado is also a member of the class.
All of these players should go fairly early in the first round. I had nearly all of them going in the top 10 in my previous mock draft that was posted yesterday. I’ll likely have another mock draft up early next week. Also just a programming note I’ll be doing commentary on the SBNation.com mock draft next week as well. I’ll have more information on that later on for you all.
