- Chile, US National Team
It nearly time for the annual nearly all-MLS based US Men’s National Team camp in January. Bob Bradley has called up 24 players for the Jan. 22 friendly against Chile. Only four of the players called into the camp are not from MLS rosters.
The big surprises of this camp were names like FC Dallas’ Eric Alexander, Zac Loyd, and Ugo Ihemelu getting called in as well as guys like Colorado’s Anthony Wallace and San Jose’s Sam Cronin.
The forward group in this call up is going to be interesting to watch as we get to see Sporting Kansas City’s Teal Bunbury and New York Red Bull’s Juan Agudelo get the call once more along with Chivas USA’s Justin Braun and the MLS Golden Boot winner Chris Wondolowski.
Below is the full roster for the camp.
GOALKEEPERS (4): Dominic Cervi (Celtic), Sean Johnson (Chicago Fire), Matt Pickens (Colorado Rapids), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake)
DEFENDERS (9): A.J. DeLaGarza (Los Angeles Galaxy), Sean Franklin (Los Angeles Galaxy), Omar Gonzalez (Los Angeles Galaxy), Ugo Ihemelu (FC Dallas), Zach Loyd (FC Dallas), Ryan Miller (Halmstads BK), Tim Ream (New York Red Bulls), Anthony Wallace (Colorado Rapids), Marvell Wynne (Colorado Rapids)
MIDFIELDERS (7): Eric Alexander (FC Dallas), Alejandro Bedoya (Örebro), Sam Cronin (San Jose Earthquakes), Mikkel Diskerud (Stabaek), Jeff Larentowicz (Colorado Rapids), Dax McCarty (D.C. United), Brek Shea (FC Dallas)
