The friendly in South Africa next week is a tough one to work around for call-ups. US Men’s National Team coach Bob Bradley couldn’t call up MLS players currently involved in playoff matches or some European players that are busy with their current seasons. So instead he went back to his old back of tricks and called in a fairly young and slightly inexperienced roster for the trip.
The roster includes five players from the 2010 FIFA World Cup. A handfull of players are also getting their first calls-ups including Tim Ream and Juan Agudelo of the New York Red Bulls, Mikkel Diskerud, Kansas City’s Teal Bunbury and Gale Agbossoumonde.
What do you make of this roster? Excited to see some fresh faces like Agudelo and Bunbury?
