Forgive me for a moment that these previews today are going to be super short. I honestly don’t have the time today to put a lot into this due to some family matters going on right now. Needless to say this will be an interesting weekend for me outside of soccer.

Anyways below are the picks I’m going with this weekend. Like them? Love them? Let’s hear it.

New England Revolution – at – Chivas USA

Two of the bottom clubs in the league right now. Neither has an offense I can get behind. Then again I’m not thrilled about either defense. I’m never a fan of picking bad east coast teams when they travel out west either. Going with Chivas in a less than stellar battle tonight.

WVH Prediction: Chivas 2, New England 1

D.C. United – at – Toronto FC

Preki’s side has to find a way to get three points in this one or else their playoff dreams are going to be gone for another year. Thankfully for them D.C. is rather awful on the road and just rather awful overall.

WVH Prediction: Toronto 2, D.C. 0

Colorado Rapids – at – New York Red Bulls

Probably one of the most interesting games of the weekend here. The Rapids are flying high thanks to six goals in two games at home. Things will be different on the road though and the Red Bulls will likely pick up the pieces from their loss last week.

WVH Prediction: New York 2, Colorado 0

Chicago Fire – at – Philadelphia Union

Chicago is still in it right now for the playoffs but honestly they’re holding on for dear life at this point. The new additions haven’t exactly panned out like they would have hoped. Going to Philly won’t be easy either but I don’t know if the Union can defensively do enough to get three points in this one.

WVH Prediction: Philadelphia 2, Chicago 2

FC Dallas – at – San Jose Earthquakes

A very tricky game for FCD. They’ll be missing plenty of key elements on defense due to injuries and they will also have to deal with Geovanni who seems to be finding his way now in MLS. You have to wonder when the run will end for Dallas and it could happen here but this just seems like another place Dallas will get a draw in.

WVH Prediction: San Jose 1, Dallas 1

Columbus Crew – at – LA Galaxy

My wonder with David Beckham coming back is how exactly will he help this struggling club? Its possible he’ll provide more of a spark than the usual distraction but right now the Galaxy need to find ways to distance themselves from the Crew in the standings. I think they find a way to edge out the Crew in this one in what should be the best game of the weekend.

WVH Prediction: LA 1, Columbus 0
