Forgive me for being brief here but my schedule today has been a bit off and the weekend previews for week 17 will be cut short because of that. All I can do for now is give predictions and that’s that. Next week we’ll be back on track and on the regular program.

Thankfully we only have four games to look at this weekend.

FC Dallas – at – Toronto FC: FCD heads north to face TFC who looks to get back on track and knock the league’s longest current unbeaten run that Dallas owns. Dallas keeps the ball well and will cause problems for TFC but its the Reds at home so a draw seems the most likely of results here.

WVH Prediction: Toronto 1, Dallas 1

Houston Dynamo – at – Columbus Crew: Columbus is shifting parts around but is still at home while Houston is fresh off their successful group stage in the 2010 SuperLiga. Part of me thinks Houston will keep it close like they did in their 0-0 draw a few weeks back but I like the Crew in this one. Their ability to hold on to possession is tough to match at times.

WVH Prediction: Columbus 1, Houston 0

Chivas USA – at – Real Salt Lake: The one game this weekend I feel the strongest about is this one. Sure Chivas is playing better but going to Rio Tinto for anyone is no easy task. Take the home side, its the safest bet of the weekend.

WVH Prediction: RSL 2, Chivas 0

Colorado Rapids – at – Seattle Sounders FC: May be the biggest toss up of the weekend for me. I’d like to think Seattle is starting to turn in a positive direction here with Blaise Nkufo onboard but their defense worries me still. Colorado on the other hand is very balanced top to bottom but their backline has issues at times as well. Watch the wings in this one, Steve Zakuani gives Seattle the advantage there which is why I think Seattle will pull out a home win on Sunday.

WVH Prediction: Seattle 1, Colorado 0
