- 2010 MLS SuperDraft, Teal Bunbury
Here’s some news that has to give some fans around the league a smile today. Steve Goff is reporting that Herman Trophy finalist from Akron Teal Bunbury is skipping his final two seasons of college to enter the MLS SuperDraft next month.
Bunbury had 17 goals in 25 matches this season and was named Soccer America’s player of the year.
I’d fully expect Bunbury to end up with a Generation adidas contract when it is all said and done here. He’s gotta be one of the top prospects in the draft as well. Yesterday’s mock draft that I did saw him going to Dallas at number 5. He could go as high as number one depending on what Philadelphia is looking to do at the draft. Nonetheless this is very good news for the league to sign this kid.
