Denis Hamlet has been a part of the Fire organization for a long time and has poured his efforts in this club; for this I wish him well. The Fire choosing to part ways was a good thing though, the 2009 squad was stacked full of talent and we should of made it to the MLS Cup Final at the very least. Chris Armas is a Chicago Fire legend and if we're going with a new guy, I'd like to see someone who has true passion for this club, but in all honesty I'd rather have someone proven and with head coach experience.

Hamlet was not a good coach. Living in Chicago and watching a lot of the games, the team never seemed motivated and he routinely got out coached. All the Fire's success under Hamlet was a product of them having one of the most talented squads in MLS.
