The entire point of the article was to bring up the discussion of how Donovan is unfairly labeled a choker and a mediocre player by European clubs and this moment is only reinforcing that point from their perspective. 		<description>Frankly, that analysis is grossly ridiculous and unfair. The fact that Donovan missed a penalty kick badly does not take away from his play in the Confederations&#039; Cup against Brazil in the final. It does not take away what he has done during the past two seasons in the midst of personal struggles (feud with Beckham and breakup of is marriage). It does not take away the tremendous growth in maturity that he has displayed this year. 
 
Remember, Roberto Baggio missed a penalty kick in a World Cup final. His career didn&#039;t go down the toilet as a result. </description>
