I think Earthquakes were smart to protect Wondo -- proven leader and comes from a team that has won two MLS chamionships -- things started to change up when he arrived --- look at stats -

Philly doesn't want to take convey's salary off SJ's plate. They may take him like WNH says, after the expansion draft. But only if its a share the salary thing.

My guess is that SJ is one of 5 teams that Union just pass by. Sorry.

I would protect Leitch, as well. In the two times, i saw him play (after Hernandez's injury), he was by far the Quakes' best and most well-rounded defender.

Great point on Corrales, he's not going anywhere.

Frank is a bigger fan of Salinas then Wondo. I think they will protect Salinas he is starting to produce this last year with a hand full of assists. Also I would protect Leitch over Quency. Leitch was voted SJ Defender of the team this year, Quency had 1 goal. Q didn't impress me this year. He was fast but had poor ball control. So what is the point of beating a defender to the ball and not being able to control it?

Plus I would also be excited to see a big trade b/t SJ and Philly for Convey. He never made an impact this year.

San Jose just re-signed Corrales, so I would expect him to be protected ahead of at least one of the forwards (except for Johnson). As for Cannon, I still DC making a move for him. Maybe during the trade window Monday? There's been at least one major move during that time, so at least a few of the predicted protected lists will change.
