I've been to ACL before and by the looks of the weather it should actually be pleasant this year unlike last year when it was 95 and as you said a furnace. The air might be a little dusty since it never rains in Austin. Also, unless you really want to see the headliners I suggest you leave early because you'll be competing with hundreds of thousands of people to get out. I also wouldn't hop the fence unless you want the cops harassing you, (though it is entertaining to watch really drunk guys taunt them and then get tackled on the pavement).
