Cummings For MVP?

No one in the MLS has an answer for him.

I like him as a player, but he won't get MVP consideration.<br />

(1) his teammate is leading the league in goals and will garner votes before Cummings<br />
<br />
(2) he doesn't get enough pub to be top of mind when the votes go in (people don't spend all that much time on this)<br />
<br />
(3) his team might not make the playoffs, and certainly won't be in Supporters Shield contention

If anyone in Colorado has a shot at MVP, it's Casey, not Cummings. Cummings has fewer goals and does less for the team effort. He's a good striker, but when you play with two up front, they both have to be able to pass to each other. Cummings never passes. He always shoots.

That was a joke right? Cummings leads the league in assists. He could have had 3 more yesterday, but the finishing wasn't quite as good as his passes.<br />

Nothing against Casey but Cummings is the clear choice as MVP of the team so far this year.
