- Heath Pearce
In a way I have to say I’ve been wanting FC Dallas to make this kind of move if it were to present itself. Once Dallas got the top allocation spot you had to think the club would either be dumb and sit on it to then lose it to next year’s expansion club in Philadelphia. Or the club would make a blunder of a deal with the allocation.
Turns out they are actually looking to add someone that may actually make them better. Buzz Carrick dropped this little nugget on us over the weekend that the club is interested in adding US national team defender Heath Pearce if he were to sign with Major League Soccer.
That last part is a huge if as Pearce will probably want to say in Europe.
Thing is Pearce is currently a free agent and last played for German Bundesliga 2 club Hansa Rostock. He was dropped to the club’s reserves in April due to “player performance” before his contract expired in May.
I’d love for a deal like this to go through since Pearce needs playing time in order to possibly get back in the national team picture, which even that is a long shot at this point in some folks eyes.
