- Pablo Campos, Trades
It’s been a busy afternoon here today and we have another move to discuss. San Jose Earthquakes have traded striker Pablo Campos to Real Salt Lake in exchange for a second round pick in next year’s SuperDraft.
Honestly this move is great for San Jose even though it gets them rid of another striker. It clears way for roster space and some slight cap space. Plus Campos was kind of seen as a headache from an outsider. The few times I’ve seen him this seaon I never was all that impressed with him.
He’s big and physical so I assume he will be in line to replace departing Yura Movsisyan next season with RSL if he stays that long. Other than that I really don’t see the draw from a RSL standpoint.
San Jose is looking to add at leat three or four more players from what I am being told this summer. Their biggest target is a center midfielder, something they definitely lack right now.
What do you make of this deal for either side?
