• 2009 US Open Cup, PGE Park, Portland Timbers

Last night’s US Open Cup match between the Seattle Sounders FC and the Portland Timbers was pretty sweet. Not only did this rivalry get some good love across the land but it produced a quality game with some even more entertaining fans in the stands at PGE Park.

Makes me want to fast forward a bit to 2011 to see this rivalry in Major League Soccer.

Thanks for posting that, I could see from me seats they were going mental fro something, but our cloud of smoke did not allow me to see them clearly.
What was up with the first five rows being completely empty?

Thanks for sharing the video. Standing behind with smoke everywhere, we didn't get to see the display. This is one in many reasons why we are the greatest supporters in the Northwest. Period. No classless asshats getting thrown in jail from our supporters or smoke thrown onto the pitch.
First five rows are empty because it is required by the park/security to prevent supporters from jumping on the dugouts.
