The U of Washington athletic director has also stated that the UW will not try to compete with Qwest Field for matches. I'm almost certain Qwest Field will lay down temporary grass to get a bid - reportedly the FieldTurf would have been removed in favor of grass if necessary for MLS. Overall, Seattle will have a great chance: plenty of hotels, large international airport, new infrastructure (light rail running next to the stadium), and the largest modern stadium (67,000 seats) on the West Coast.
