I think this is a great deal. Wondo clearly was not going to get more play here as each time we signed a new striker, he got slotted into the depth chart ahead of him!



As for Weaver, aside from a the well-marked Arturo Alvarez, I felt Weaver was the most dangerous Tremble on the field when SJ was here a few weeks ago. Time will of course tell, but this has the Luck, Cannetti, Kinnear seal of success written all over it.



This could be a situation where, if you are a fan of Wondo, you can't help but be happy for him because he was not getting anymore playing time here. But with the Trembles, he plugs in up top right away. It's a great opportunity for him, and he's closer to home. If we're going to have him just riding the pine here, which he was going to do, it might as well be Cam Weaver, who could really benefit from playing in the Dynamo environment.



Classic win-win.
