Closing the books on another week. Not a whole lot of changes to note in this week’s rankings. The bottom bunch stayed where they were and in all honesty I don’t see many of those bottom six or so moving up in a big way anytime soon. The middle bunch got mixed up a bit but the top remained what it’s been for a while now with Chivas USA leading the way.

Team Rank (Last Week) Record (W-L-T) Comments
1 (1) 7-1-2 23 pts. Never looks good to give up a two goal lead late in a game but at the same time this club is a third of the way home with a sizeable lead on the rest.
2 (4) 3-0-6 15 pts. I still haven’t figured out why Chris Rolfe isn’t starting for the Fire here. Either way he proving to be one of the steady feet for the Fire this season.
3 (5) 3-1-6 14 pts. I sort of wonder where this club would be if they didn’t have to come from behind so much. I’d say they’d be right up there with Chivas for the top spot.
4 (2) 4-2-3 15 pts. Injuries are showing that this expansion side has little depth. Still the continue to remain near the top each week despite dropping points to lesser talent.
5 (3) 3-2-3 12 pts. A fun stat for you, Houston has only allowed two goals since their 3-2 loss at San Jose at the end of March. Tell me this club won’t be in the thick of things this season.
6 (7) 3-2-3 12 pts. The same goes, as Conor Casey scores this club looks good. Gary Smith has been a huge reason why this club looks nothing like it’s former self. They are more consistent with play and are truly dangerous behind Casey.
7 (10) 4-4-2 14 pts. Hey look, Josh Wolff played striker this weekend and scored two goals. Is it really that hard to figure out? You put him in a position to score and he will, simple as that.
8 (6) 3-3-4 13 pts. Chad Barrett’s time on the pitch looks to be becoming less and less with each miss, yet every coach keeps him out there more. Toronto would be leading the east and maybe the league if Barrett would have scored half the misses he’s had this season. This club is good but needs a serious striker.
9 (8) 1-2-6 9 pts. Halftime has just been a killer to this club this season. Too many goals after the break this year has costed this club so many points already.
10 (9) 3-5-1 10 pts. I think a few people forgot that this club wasn’t that great last season, looks like they are just about on par where they were a year ago.
11 (11) 2-2-4 10 pts. Just wonder what this club will be like when they are healthy here this season. Or will that be too late?
12 (12) 1-1-6 10 pts. And another draw. These 1-1 draws can only do so much for you as a club. Right now it’s not doing much at all.
13 (13) 2-5-3 9 pts. Nice rally against Houston but is there a club that gets carded more than New York here? Especially red cards.
14 (14) 1-5-2 5 pts. Apparently Frank Yallop has been really hammer his club in the bye-week. Reports of signing Cornell Glen have also kept the club in the press too. I just doubt he will do any good for this offense.
15 (15) 1-6-2 5 pts. Dallas was lucky to get the draw against Seattle. One bright spot was finally seeing Brek Shea out there. He looked pretty good on Saturday. If only more youth were on the field for this club they may see a turn around.

I think all of these draws are interesting and make it difficult to evaluate how teams should be ranked from 1 to 15.<br />

That said, I think it would be interesting to see what the table would look like if the visiting team earned 2 points for a draw, while the home team only earned 1.
