RSSI posted a message yesterday evening on my Twitter feed about the Galaxy quietly waiving players. Turns out the three I mentioned yesterday weren’t the only ones getting the ax.
In all the Galaxy dumped goalkeeper Steve Cronin, defenders Brandon McDonald, Mike Randolph and Troy Roberts, and forward Ely Allen.
Not a real shocker to see Bruce Arena clean house a bit. The Gals hadn’t drafted all that well in recent years in my eyes. Getting rid of these five was probably a must due to the guys brought in through trades and the draft this year by Arena.
Randolf will be picked up. Houston, maybe?
Maybe Roberts, Cronin and McDonald.
Doubtful Allen will. he just doesn’t have the physical ability.
Why would guys get picked up who were cut from the worst team in the league??
