  • 2010 MLS SuperDraft, Adrian Serioux, Allocation, Trades

I guess this is what happens when you get stuck in traffic for a little while. I totally missed this news earlier that FC Dallas has traded Adrian Serioux to Toronto FC for a first-round draft pick and allocation money.

Serioux made it known a while back that he wanted to return to Canada to play. Now he gets his shot with a revamped TFC squad this season. Boy I gotta tell you those Reds are starting to look mighty good for this season.

What do you all make of this deal?

Can't say this is shocking, it looks just like the Van den Burgh situation. The player wanted to go, and they made it happen. good move for both sides I think, especially if the pick is a first round pick, and I'm sure at least part of the allocation was used to pay Ferreira. FCD defense should be better this year anyway with Wagner-Purdy-Torres-Moor, so Serioux was basically an expensive reserve. Toronto has to be the team to beat in the East now…if they arent competing for the Supporter's Shield it will be an unbelievable disappointment.
