- Mexico, World Cup qualifying
I’m a little slow getting into today. Busy day at work can be to blame for that I suppose. I did however want to go over some brief (real brief actually) thoughts from last night’s World Cup qualifier in Columbus between the US and Mexico.
First of all getting three points to start the final phase of qualifying is huge. Not to mention downing the regional rival in the process is always very nice to do.
I thought some guys played great last night, those being Tim Howard (came up big everytime he was asked to), Michael Bradley (two big goals), and Landon Donovan (wasn’t asked to do much but the little things were there for me).
In all it wasn’t the best game played by the US but when you can win and look good doing so when you’re not at your absolute best that says something to me about this bunch. Hopefully it keeps up for the next match.
That’s really all I have time for right now to dive into this game. Feel free to share your thoughts on the subject. I’ve posted some highlights below for you all to enjoy as well.
