Chivas does more than struggle. Seattle will have 20 times the season tickets as Chivas and Chivas hasn't been awful.

I'm not against the Miami bid at all. I certainly hope I am proved wrong and that IF they are chosen for one of the spots for 2011 (not 2010), I hope they can be as successful off the pitch at TFC have been. However, with sporting history in that part of the country you can't guarantee success. Also look at Chivas: the same thing was being said when they won the expansion slot in 2003 and they struggle to bring in the crowds.

The Miami Fusion were as successful as nuclear fission. Bullocks on a Miami expansion team in the MLS. And Barca fans are all wankers, every last one of them. The next expansion team should be in Havana. And one more thing too: Go Crew!

I completely agree Drew. First of all we don't know how much of this is true if at all. Secondly say if it were true I don't think it's right for MLS to be bullied no matter who it is whether its Barcelona or Yeovil Town FC. The plan strictly is to have one in '09, another in '10 and two more in '11. The only way Miami or any other expansion candidate should come in a year earlier then planned is if the current expansion team for that season isn't quite ready for whatever reason (I know Montreal was rumored to step in '10 if Philadelphia wasn't ready). The other thing with me personally is that I don't like the location for expansion. I've been to Miami for a few days and admit I know nothing about the local demographics or anything. However, I just think you have to look at the history of professional sports teams in that area in that it's hardly been a success. The Marlins have won the World Series twice and can't get anyone. Not sure if there is a hockey team but it wouldn't make sense. The Heat every time I've seen (and I don't watch much basketball) don't have many people in the stands and I heard the Dolphins don't do extremely well. Lets not forget most importantly that the Fusion ultimately failed.
