Some certainly seem to think so up in the Emerald City.

Nothing is confirmed yet but Swedish midfielder Freddie Ljungberg could be the expansion club’s Designated Player.

For me, a Swede, I would love to see him in MLS but as a DP I am not too sure about this move. But I could see Ljungberg doing well in a setting like Seattle. I will go more into this later, I just came across it in some emails earlier and thought it was worth a mention before I head into the weekend!

What do you all think? Could it possible be true? Is he worth a DP tag?

I'd say he isn't worth the DP spot – but then again he could prove me wrong. We'll see.

A done deal? Great way to make more of a splash for Sounders FC – Keller, Ljunberg, open tryouts in November, 17,000 season tickets. Wow.
