Nothing wrong with geriatrics…I hope to be one someday!

But when there are too many on a soccer field, there just isn’t enough speed. The key is to find the balance between veteran experience and up-and-coming young players. The problem with the Galaxy is that they don’t enough of the latter.

The recent downturn is because they don’t have enough talent, especially on the backline and in the holding midfield role (just watch the last few games for proof of that!).

Us LA Galaxy fans don’t need a scapegoat…we need a GM who knows what he is doing!

So when Donovan is sold to Europe this month, who will they blame it on? I’m sure selling Landy and spending some money on Defense will cure this mess, but the fans need a scapegoat.

As for Gullit, didn’t the Galaxy go on a nice roll last year to end the season? Maybe the recent downturn is BECAUSE of him, not in spite of him.

I have waited for this day for a long time. Lalas is finally gone! No way another team hires him as a GM, but he could join that Extra Time show with his brother so they can have 3 idiots who don’t know anything about soccer on it. Good riddance, Red!

Sad to see Gullit go. I thought he did a decent job considering the geriatric roster and lack of talent. Would have liked to have seen him finish out the year. Nice to see Cobi get a shot, though.

Still think the man who can save the Galaxy is Paul Mariner.

I am not surprised to see Lalas go. He’s been a mess around this league. Goes to show being a successful player will not make you a successful executive. Hopefully MLS has learned their lesson on Lalas and he will have a tough time finding employment as the top dog.

When Gullit signed on with LA I knew he wouldn’t be long for this league. He is an international soccer celebrity and MLS’ arcane rules don’t compute to the big spending Euro guys.
