- Amado Guevara, Suspensions
Toronto FC midfielder Amado Guevara was suspended one game and fined $250 by Major League Soccer’s Disciplinary Committee on Thursday for his conduct in Sunday’s game against FC Dallas.
Guevara was red carded for his elbow to Pablo Ricchetti that casued a penalty kick. The fine and suspension are in addition to the one-game red card suspension and $250 fine for getting the card.
Guevara will not be available for Colorado game this weekend and the New York game next weekend. He will return to the lineup on the 23rd.
Not much to see really, but here is another look at the incident. Honestly I am a little shocked to see him get an extra game but it is starting to look like the honeymoon is over between Guevara and TFC. I’m not saying he is on his way out of Toronto or anything here but things like this won’t sit well with Mo Johnston and head coach John Carver.
